About the Artist
All of my sculptures are figurative and hand-built from clay. I love the human form with all its imperfections. The only common theme is that each piece is born out of a feeling that’s important to me. I hope my representations will trigger similar emotions in the hearts of viewers, and thus give them life.
Sandy Voldeng has been sculpting for over 25 years. Her sculptures have found homes in various parts of canada, the usa and europe. Her work has been greatly influenced by African sculpture, the abstraction of the human figure, and artists Brancusi, Picasso, Giacometti, Modigliani, Henry Moore and Matisse.
